[Kenwood] SM 220 adapter

Those hams with the SM 220 scopes don't have panadapter capability.

Seems that the BS 5 and BS 8 were "plug in" type add-on adapters that would
make the SM 220 essentially a SM 230 (don't recall how a guy would know
which module to choose, or which did what.

I believe the BS 5 and BS 8 are long since out of production, and are not
redily obtainable anymore.  Are there any kits/boards/etc available today
that perform the same functions as the BS 5 or BS 8 that adapt to the SM
220?

In short, I'm trying to figure out if there is any inexpensive , easy way
today to get SM 230 performance out of an SM 220.
