I used the R/S 12v @25ma available
at most Radio Shacks or online from
their website. I have the 221 and I
think they are the same in the 241
with one on each side of the display.
Some of the JA rigs use 8v lamps but
the 12v seem to work well except on
some American rigs which have 13 or
14 v circuits - then a small resistor in series
will enable it to work without shortening the
bulb life.
