Ron,  let Me know if You get an answer direct . I have Two the one in the 
Veh has the KENWOOD KNOWN Display problem , I just took the one off in the 
house and put it on the one in the Mobile and it Works fine,  So since it 
is a known problem,  I don't know why We could not send in just the Display 
and get a Free replacement .
