Also... when one increases the power of the 950, the firmware has got to be
modified to cause the blowers to kick on at a different time and
temperature.  Those that have not done this and still turned up the power,
wound up replacing several hundred dollars worth of PA stage!

Also, the 1+ dB of signal strength increase is far less than ONE "S" unit on
the receive signal strength meter!

IN general more power = more heat  ..... more heat usually means shorter
life..how much shorter?.... hard to quantify.

More to the point why would you bother for a maximum increase in signal of
1.25db at 200 watts?
