[Kenwood] TS570SG-MKII

Just spoke with someone in the know at Kenwood, and he
confirmed that Kenwood will be debuting the Kenwood
TS570SG-MKII at Dayton.  Same box as the TS570SG, but
with DSP based filters instead of crystal filters, as
in the TS2000 and TS870.  In addition, the
TS570SG-MKII will include 2 meters at 100 watts!  This
is a model designed to go head to head with the Icom
746PRO.  It will retain the CW tune feature which is
still a Kenwood exclusive, as well as the notch and
beat cancel features.  THink of it like a TS2000
without the subreceiver, the satellite features, and
440.    

These are all the details that I got at this time
(April 1), but more should be available later.  A
picture and detailed description of the rig should be
hitting the Kenwood Japanese website within a day or
so, and will be up on the Kenwood USA website within a
week or
so.

Sounds exciting.  Better start saving the pennies now
for Dayton.
