[Kenwood] Distorted Audio - Rcv & Xmit

Got some problems with my transmit and receive audio.... would appreciate
any thoughts or suggestions....

Rig:
TS950SDX

Symptoms:
Audio on receive AND transmit has a garbled and/or distorted sound.  Receive
audio is intelligible but sounds like crap and so say those stations that
are receiving my transmitted audio... intelligible but lousy sounding (USB
or LSB).

Does NOT sound like what one would normally associate with 60 or 120cps hum
coming from the power supply due to a filter or diode failure... but then
again...

When listening to the "Monitor" function when transmitting, audio sounds
good and clean... another reason to make me think that it may not be a power
supply problem.

When looking at transmitted signal on my SM-230 Scope, the xmas tree looks
good & clean... when looking at the carrier on CW on the scope I cannot
detect any sine wave component.

Any thoughts?
