Very easy Glenn. All of the Kenwoods of that era work the same way; to
clear the VFO, turn OFF the radio, HOLD down the VFO button and turn the
power back on by pushing the POWER button. To clear the memories (all of
them), turn OFF the radio, HOLD down the MR button and turn the power back
on by pushing the POWER button. I know of no way to clear a single memory
instead, you can simply write over it skip it in memory scan by selecting
the memory channel, pushing the FUNCTION button for more than a few seconds
until the function icon flashes then, push the MR button before the
flashing stops. This will put a "*" on the channel which indicates a skip
command when scanning.
