[Kenwood] TS-830S Homebrew Keyer interface

I want to use my laptop as a high speed keyer for my 830. Anybody have some 
ideas? My first thought is to interface the RS-232 port through an 
opto-isolator and a switching transistor. A second idea might be simply two 
transistors...
