[Kenwood] RE: Kenwood service center

Leo is absolutely correct that Kenwood is not leaving the amateur market nor
are the service centers closing their doors to amateur equipment.

However, please keep this in mind...Kenwood Corporation does not own nor
operate either of the "Kenwood Service" centers.  Both centers were spun off
as independent companies several years ago.  For "retired" Kenwood
equipment, you're probably better off sending the radio to AVVid.

The few times I've dealt with Kenwood Service West (both amateur and
consumer equipment), I had to deal with an "attitude" and as convenient as
they are to me (only 25 miles away), they will not be getting my business
anytime soon.

That is just a rumor, and it's a FALSE statement, both Kenwood Service
Center service all Kenwood amateur products, also to set the story right on
a rumor has been flying around for the last 5 years that Kenwood is going
out of the amateur radio market.........BIG  FALSE RUMOR !!!!!!! I think one
of the competitors started the rumor in the first place........Please tell
all your friends that Kenwood has NO intention of getting out of the amateur
