[Kenwood] ts-790a

has anyone done the 800 mhz mod to their ts-790a?  the mod page says =
clip diode 29  and shows how to hook up the 800 meg ant...  before i =
destroy my rig,  has anyone done this with success?  tnx  paul w8jn
