The TS-2000 is a excellent choice. It's got nice transmit/receive audio,
loads of features, including IF DSP, and a very good receiver in a compact
package that's put together very well.

For fun, go to the ARRL website and compare the receiver specifications of
the Icom IC-756Pro II to those of the TS-2000. Then wonder why the Icom
costs so much more. (Or maybe the better thing to wonder is just how the
Icom got a better review than the Kenwood...)
Those TFT screens must be expensive!
