I don't think the manual is on the kenwood web site, but you can look at
www.kenwood.net. Its rearranged from last month. There probably is at
least one service bulletin about how to make it tune aircraft
frequencies. You may have to go to one of the manual sellers for a copy
of the manual.
Charging is any voltage above the battery voltage (probably by a volt)
up to probably 14 or 15 volts. The charging regulator is in the radio,
not the charger, or the power supply. It will draw over an amp on high
power transmit at 12 volts. You can use it while on charge.
