[Kenwood] 570 Battery help needed?

hi ken...  easy job..  no problem..  take off the case...  remove the 4
screws that hold the front to the chassis...  batt is located on the chassis
on the right side easily accessible...  be careful not to pull the front too
far...  the ribbon connectors can be damaged..  i have done several 570's
no special tools  batt is in standard spring loaded holder...  its a cr2032
about $2  at radio shack...  no memory loss.. 10 minute job  good luck  paul

   Can I change the lithium back up battery myself and not lose the
programming. Some of the radios from the early 80s were useless if you took
the battery out, You had to send to factory to get reprogrammed. Also please
give me a hint as to where the battery is
