[Kenwood] Enabling the WARC bands - TS-830

You don't need a website! You need wire cutters!
Under the top cover of your rig, locate the rf unit on the right side of the radio. Up toward the front of the PC board is a row of connectors, white ones. There are four of them in a row along the front edge of the board.
In between the rightmost connector and the 3rd one, is a couple of black wires coming off the PC board and going to another part of the board. One is at the juncture of the cathodes (band-ends) of D4, D5 and D6. These are the diodes that inhibit WARC band tx. The wire is common to all three. Cut it, and tape or heat shrink the ends of the wire.
You may need to tweak the alignment on the warc bands per my previous posts, but probably not. Have fun!
