Hello wirehangers,
"thoughts while shaving"
I'm using a McCoy dipole, 140' long @ 40' high. Fed with 100' of 450ohm
ladder line.
Tuner is a link coupled Johnson matchbox. Good for all bands the bands
I want and
a real cloud warmer (at that height) for 80 meters. Works terrific
for what I want....
A great signal on 75 meters for local work. 150 mi + or -
I have plenty of room and 40' towers to add wire to make an extended
double zepp
or another parallel wire to make a broadside array to give me some gain
(theoretically
3 db+)
My question is: Since it is not up high enough for much directivity,
would this be
a waste of time or would it make the clouds even warmer? hi
Any ideas? 73, Les WOJH
