[Kenwood] cooling fan

 That is exactly what I wanted to know.
 I have not used it heavily, so far, though it was a used unit when I bought
it.
 While doing some testing the other day, I did get a smell of something like
an overheating transistor or such. This was when I was whistling at it to
see what the wattmeter would show (MFJ-941D tuner), or actually just after.
No visible parts smoked, though a thermistor on one of the finals was not
touching as I felt it should. I got a peak reading of around mid scale,
which would be around 50 watts. This was on 80 meters, using the tuner, into
a dummy load
 It might, I suppose, have been a bit of dust on the heat sink.
 No damage that I can see, and unit still seems to have good output.
 It would have been nice if there was a schematic in the manual, instead of
just a block diagram that is not as good.
 The added printing does not cost all that much.
 Years ago, I had to service a new unit (CB transceiver) using only the
schematic that came packed with it, and we were warranty for the brand...
