I don't know which components are prone to fail in that rig, what I
recommend instead is to clean (with a brush, to remove dirt and any
oxide) all board connector pins, or at least plug and unplug them
several times. I recall several cases of failure because of a bad
contact between male and female connectors, the worst of them with
negative bias voltage, to make the S2001A's to blow out (glass tube
sucked in)
!!!Don't forget���: disconnect the radio from any voltage line and wait
at least 5 minutes to let all capacitors discharge before any work you
perform; anyway, after that, with a voltmeter verify this discharged
condition (if bleeders are open...), specially at the HV capacitors.
