[Kenwood] TS-520SE VFO problem

Kenwood TS-520SE VFO problem        
    
I just bought a TS-520SE which had a VFO that was difficult to turn. After 
trying to get the VFO out, I gave up and put some drops of lubricant on the 
gears that I could see. The VFO turns freely now, except that  there are 
"bumps" as the knob is rotated that feel like detents. The bumps are not 
serious but it would be nice if they weren't there. Does anyone have any 
experience and/or suggestions?
