Hi, I have had many of the Kenwood radios and presently have the TS-950SDX and TS-870. I love both radios but have to say that the TS-870 has best audio of any of the other brands and models out there. I have tested most of them and with very low distortion and a digital out to 7 Kz, it cannot be beat for great general audio and especially great AM SWL. Chuck N8GMB
