Hi All,
You may remember my previous email about a Kenwood TH-27A for sale.
Well, I need to modify it and classify it as a "parts" radio for sale after
taking it for an extended spin to make sure of its condition before selling
it. So here goes:
I have for sale a Kenwood TH-27A 2-meter HT, complete with original
antenna, charger, two battery packs, soft case, cigarette lighter power
adapter, box and manual. I would like to sell it for $40, plus shipping.
The radio transmits and receives fine, though for some reason some
popping of static comes through after realeasing the PTT button, even though
the squelch is set tight. The popping last for just a few seconds to
perhaps up to 30 seconds. I don't have a clue what is causing it, and what
else this effects, except for the fact that the radio is aging. Also, the
two battery packs do not hold a charge...I have not tried zapping them.
Physically the radio is in fine shape with a few minor scratches on the
display. This was my first radio, and I have taken good care of it, like I
take good care of my other gear. Perhaps after a bit of work and a new
battery you'll have a fine 2-meter HT complete with accessories! Email me
if interested.
