[Kenwood] TS-520 VFO

I`ve recently received a pro-bono job from a local club member. It`s a 520 with a dead internal VFO . It will oscillate fine from 0-300Khz on the main dial and 5.5Mhz to 5.2Mhz or so in frequency out from it.This has not been a problem since he has used it on a remote VFO-520.Recently it has developed a ~ 2Khz offset on LSB. Most all of the alignment items seem to be fine .The local oscillators on the carrier board are spot on. The strange offset shows itself on the generator boards` output.Has anyone seen this ? 73 , Jeff / N4YU
