[Kenwood] TS 50/ AT 50

Hi
In the instructions for the AT 50 it says to connect a ground from the =
AT 50 to the TS 50 and to ground one end to the chassis/body of the =
vehicle.  I wonder if it is acceptable to ground both seperately due to =
seperation distance between the two?  Many thanks in advance for your =
views.
