[Kenwood] TS-50S + Computer problem

I tried hooking up an IF-232C and IF-10D for the first time to the
TS-50S I've been using, only to get no communication whatever with the
computer.=20

I don't have the instruction sheets for the two accessories and was
wondering if there's some step needed to set this stuff up other than
just plugging it in and powering it. Perhaps a menu selection or a
power-up sequence.=20

The computer here is a Windows 98 Pentium-I 200MHz that works fine
talking to a Pegasus and and RX-320. I've tried MixW which has been
working with these other rigs, and Communicator and Rig-EQF. The latter
reports that serial port communication is not functioning.=20

Communicator has a "Message" window which is supposed to help in
debugging but there's no data coming back under any circumstances, with
either port. Don't know if there's a reasonable way of checking if these
boxes are working or what.
