[Kenwood] Kenwood TS180S Information

Another try at an old problem.
About 6 months ago I asked for help on a Kenwood TS180S with DFC.
The DFC unit will not store memory.
All other functions of the DFC work fine.
I even get a conformation tone when I input a frequency.
My scan on the DFC works and I can use it as a second VFO.
I have replaced the 1010 chip but no luck.
Anyone out there that has had this problem?
If so, can you tell me what you did to fix it?
I have checked all connectors for dirt and I have shotgun soldered the DFC 
board.
I took radio to tech. in Tampa and he can't find problem.
