[Kenwood] TS-950 SDX and TL-922A

Hi all
I am using the 922 with 950 SDX.  In the 950-SDX manual on page 56 titled 
Linear Amplifier Control, they talk about increasing the switching time for 
semi-breakin from 15 ms to 30 ms by cutting jumper W1.

My question is has anyone using the 922A had to do this for proper operation? 
 I have noted that the power meter on the 950 does not come up to full scale 
immediately, which might be the result of the short 15 ms delay.

I wanted to test the waters before I made the 'cut'.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
