[Kenwood] re filter mods to TS-870S

I have heard this described as " headless signals" which seems appropriate, and 
if you've ever seen a chicken running around with its head cut off you know 
immediately what it's all about.

Manufacturers always deny that a problem exists, and Kenwood are no exception. 
Of course they did ameliorate the problem post 801xx...., but it is still there, 
albeit in my experience never really troublesome. I just operated our AFS 
contest on 3.5Mhz, and that has to be the most stringent test of all, with 3510 
to 3590 full of verrrry loud G stations all within about 150 miles of each 
other. As dusk crept up and signals climbed I had to put 12dB of attenuation in 
( in addition to AIP which is always used on LF anyway) which completely 
eliminated the problem. It would be nice if it were not there at all, but until 
the perfect rig comes along at a price we can afford, I'll hang in there.
