Based on previous experience, I installed the CW filter at the time I
bought the radio, so I haven't tried the SSB filter.  It would probably
help a bit on CW, as well, since it is narrower than the stock filter. 
I operate CW much more than SSB, but haven't found the stock filter to
be all that bad for SSB operation.  The beat-cancel feature of the DSP
sure helps.  I haven't been all that impressed with NR1 or NR2, but I
haven't tried to tweak the setting.

Although I went with the Kenwood filter, I have seen several
recommendations that the Inrad filters are a bit better in most cases.
