Hello
I was wondering. Does the R-5000 share any of the "common failing" of the
TS-440S? I.E. The rubber compound that turns conductive and causes PLL
Unlock etc.
I have NO problem with mine, but wondered if it would behoove me to remove
the rubber compound from the VCO's 'while it's still pliable', or not. Or
would I just be wasting my time (it's no quick task). Incidently, I run my
R-5000 on the 12 Volt station battery, keeps it nice and cool.
