Hello friends,
I have for trade, in excellent condition, a Kenwood TS-440S/AT (serial no.
20600447) that's loaded with extras: YK-88S 2.4 kHz SSB filter, YK-88C 500 Hz
CW filter, IC-10 computer interface kit, TU-8 CTCSS encoder, up/down handheld
microphone, DC power cord, original operating manual, a copy of the service
manual and, of course, the built-in automatic antenna tuner. This transceiver
has the 10 Hz display resolution and "MARS" transmit mods. No need to be
concerned about the infamous "dots in the display" problem which plagued some
of these units, it has already been remedied by removal of the rubber
compound from VCO1 and VCO5, and replacement of the components in VCO-5. I am
a non-smoker, it's been kept covered when not in use, and, although I'm not
the first owner, I've never used it mobile. Everything works as it should and
I would estimate the cosmetic condition to be a 9+.
I'd like to trade for a Kenwood TS-940S/AT in like condition and with similar
options installed, plus some cash, of course. Let me know what you have. To
avoid having to ship either transceiver, I would really like to find someone
willing to trade who lives within a reasonable driving distance from
Melbourne, Florida.
Thanks & 73, Curt, K4TL
