[Kenwood] 530S, transmit mixer

HELP!!!,
 I have a 530S that has a problem during transmit.  The tuned circuit on
the output of the transmit RF mixer controlled by the drive control has
a shift in resonce in the transmit mode ( CW or SSB).  This can be
corrected by retuning the drive control to peak the RF out.  This works
on 80 & 40, but on 20 thru 10 there is not enough adjustment in the
drive control variable capacitor.  When adjusting the drive conrol the
receive signal is reduced.  Returning the drive control to the 12 oclock
position returns the receive signal to full stength.
        Any suggestions ??????????
