[Kenwood] Power Supply for TS2000

Hi-
I am curious what owners of the TS2000 are using for the 13.8v power supply 
for their radios. I know Kenwood suggests the Kenwood PS-53 (20.5amp) 
supply, but I am guessing there are other supplies being used.  I am about 
to spend some money on the 2000 (what a great price!) and would appreciate a 
recommendation for a power supply for the radio.  I do not plan to use it 
mobile.
Another question occurs to me....why is Kenwood cutting over $500.00 off the 
price of the radio?  From the reviews I have read, it seems to be a good 
radio.  Is it not selling as they had hoped?  Are they coming out with the 
"long-fabled" TS970?
Just wondering.
