[Kenwood] TM-241 Channel Masking

Hi all,
I seem to recall reading somewhere that the TM-241 is capable of Channel Masking (IE "hiding' a channel that is not needed for an area EX: I have some repeaters for COlumbus Ohio that I can't use in Cincinnati and would like to hide them till I need them). Am I totally crazy or is this possible? If it is possible, how do I go about it? I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything. Thanks.
