That may be the key, I never checked to see if the mod had been 
made to my 450 - I'll take a look.

I also have a TS570 which has a jumper for "Normal" or "DX". 
Changing it made a world of difference, although there are one or 
two minor spurious responses from a local BC station which are 
easily defeated with the attenuator.
