[Kenwood] thg71a charging question

Kenwood began modern charging before the TH-27A of more than ten years
ago. So the external supply isn't the charging regulator, that is in the
radio. The THg71a manual sure isn't clear on the matter, but the wall
wart and the external supply connect to the same port and I believe will
charge the battery identically. 

When using the external RS power supply you can charge the battery while
running the radio. They recommend you don't charge for more than 16
hours so you can take the battery out after that time period. It will
still take 16 hours because that's controlled by the charging current
regulator.

The wall wart should be labeled with voltage and current. Likely 9 to 12
volts at something under a half amp.
