[Kenwood] Help:Mic mod for V7A (audio muting)

Trying to do the "mute mod" for the V7A microphone
that is detailed in Kenwood's App Note AAN-0021R1.

I also found some info at http://www.qsl.net/kf4tuz/v7a.html

I can see where the base of the added transistor is tied down, 
but  CAN'T  quite see in the photo or figure out from Kenwood's 
"simplified" schematic where on the mic's PC board the C and E 
transistor leads tie down.

Unfortunately I don't have a schematic for the mic's PC board
to help me with this.  Or a parts layout for it.

Anybody have a scanned schematic (or parts layout!!) for
the board that they might be willing to forward to me?

Anybody have any hints about this mod that they would share
with me?
