John,

I have two of the TS-50S and like them a lot.  One has been my primary
mobile RIG for three years now and it has worked really well.  Recently I
sold my amplifier as I discovered that the 100 watts out of the TS-50 was
adequate.

The second TS-50 goes with me when I travel and in fact have taken it to
Europe and used it there for PSK-31.  Again, it performs very well.  It
makes a good travel rig particularly when I use it with a small power supply
that can also easily fit in the suitcase.

In this vein, I'm interested, too -- especially from mobile
users.  I'm considering putting one in my Cherokee.  In
addition to performance comments, I'd be interested in any
clever mounting ideas.
