Subject: [Kenwood] TS-830S no transmit
I could use a bit of advice and/or direction here guys.
I have a TS-830S Gold with no xmit output. Receive is fine in all modes. The
radio has worked fine for years. I turned it on the other day and --no
transmit. I thought maybe it could just be a tube issue, but no such luck. I
replaced the driver and both finals with new (known good) tubes, and got no
RF output. I even swapped out the RF Driver board with a known good board
and still no luck.
The voltages to the final tubes seem to be ok. I have checked the SG switch
on the rear apron--it's on. I have good plate voltage on the 6146B's and the
bias is still at 60 ma.
I am hoping that one of you fellas can suggest something that I'm obviously
overlooking.
Let the flow of information begin----Please!!!
Thanks!!!
