Bob, I feel sure there is a Kenwood fix out for that problem, I checked and
don't have it but I do have Bulletin #1002 for the TS-450/690 for the same
problem. It involves adding a 10 db attenuator to the PKD line on the IF
unit, changing 2 chip resistors and removing 1 chip capacitor. It was a
problem with my TS-950SD/AT also but using the "snap on" rf filters on the
cable where it goes into the radio took care of it.
