I fixed the fan in my TS-830s today and felt compelled to write abt the high
technical feat that I accomplished.

I decided to pull it off my shelf (look at my site on QRZ.com and you will
see why I was lax) and see if I could identify the fan description. When I
pulled the fan out I noticed a piece of popcorn from recent shipping had
imbedded itself on the outer edge of the fan blade. since these are
no-torque motors it couldn't overcome the stress and would not rotate.
These radios are nothing but a constant problem and headache..........I
think i'll look around for another one. Naturally I sent the funds off for
a new one abt 2 hours before I fixed this one.
