I've been through quite a few handhelds and I like my TH-F6A the best of any
I have used. My last was an Icom IC-T8A and the Kenwood is vastly better.
222 is truly usable on a handheld as opposed to 6M which gets very little
use. It is very easy to store memory channels and it will handle pretty
much any offset. The HF receiver section even works well if connected to an
appropriate antenna.
You might also check the reviews on www.eham.net . Most were quite good.
73 & Good Luck,
Kevin

Subject: [Kenwood] TH-F6A
Hello,
I am looking into getting a new handheld radio and am looking at the
TH-F6A. Anyone use this radio? If so could you please tell me how you like
it? How easy is it to use? How easy to store memory channels? Can it do
strange offsets for repeater use? (local repeater here uses 1Mhz offset on
2m instead of .6Mhz)
Thanks
