[Kenwood] 2M Xverter and TS-830

I plan to give the Ten-Tec 1210 transverter kit a stab real soon. For $139
(same price since QST review in June 2000, that's cool) this sounds like
fun. I too would use it with my TS-830s. I am curious about the comment
elsewhere about the difficulty of hooking it up to the 830s -- I thiought
the TT 1201 just goes to the regular HF antenna connector. Hmmh... the 830s
does have an xverter connector but I find no info in  my operating manual
nor any mention of a Kenwood accessory for that connector. Can anyone
explain?
