[Kenwood] TS-940s questions

Today, after an extended period of disuse, I turned on my ts940s, and
everything was fine, except the green lcd display. All the functions
seemed to be normal, but after I attempted a cpu reset, it made things
worse. Now, sometimes none of the pushbutton functions work, and there
is no receive audio. The frequency display works in all cases, but
sometimes, I am unable to change bands, modes, vfo's etc.

I suspect the lithium battery is shot. Anything else I should be
looking at?
