     DX'ers,
Hello everyone.  Clark's family told me Clark is requesting a Morse Code reader.  He would like to borrow a reader that he can send code and it would display the letters.  He would be able to communicate with this family since his jaw has been wired shut.
He under went additional surgery on his face.  The doctors place eight titanium plates in his face.  The doctor said he didn't remember every having to use so many.  The original estimate was 4 or maybe up to 5.  His left arm was run over by the truck twice breaking the bones in several places.  I will update his progress at the next meeting.  I received the amateur radio Get-Well card from California and will pass it around for signatures on Monday,
Again, if anyone knows of a Code reader let me know.  913-908-5270  w/ texting.  73's-Duke

Friday, February 15. The details of the accident are still unclear.  What I do know,  Clark Ashworth, KB0EL, was outside cleaninghis driveway when a city snow plow passed by his house going east on 88thstreet.  The snow plow then backed backdown the hill and ran over Clark.  Thetruck crushed Clark’s arm and caused massive injury to his face and head.  He was transported to Overland Park RegionalHospital emergency room.  They performedsurgery on his right eye, face, and his arm. I understand he was talking and in grave pain.  Visitation is limited to immediatefamily.  His wife, Amber, requests yourthoughts and prayers.Clark and I usually share rides to the KC DX Clubmeetings.  He owned a companyspecializing in UPS’s.  Clark recentlyretired and sold his portion of the company but still does some contract worktravelling for them.  He is a key member of a men’s weeklybible study group in De Soto.  He lovesexperimenting with antennas, working DX, and is one of the net control hams on the 3905Century Net.  He has been net control on160 meters for many years.I will try to purchase a get well card and take it to thenext meeting for signatures.   73's-Duke, W0QQ
