From Jeff.Blaine at epak.com Wed Jan 4 12:29:23 2017 From: Jeff.Blaine at epak.com (Jeff Blaine) Date: Wed, 4 Jan 2017 17:29:23 +0000 Subject: [KCDXC] KCDXC N0SS & W0AR Scores Due Message-ID: Happy New Year club members! At the Jan meeting, we will have the annual review of N0SS and W0AR club contest results. ** That means N0SS and W0AR scores are due now. So get cooking if you have not started your submission yet. ** Send your scores over to our contest committee chaired by the forever handsome and ultra-efficient contest compiling and computing machine A.K.A. N0AG Tom. I think our official club deadline is 1/15. Take action now to ensure Tom gets your entry in time so that your contesting and DXing efforts can get the respect they most certainly and justly deserve! And after only one year of delay, finally this year we will have ready the two traveling trophies - awarded to the top scoring club member in each contest. These handsome trophies will look great on the winner's shack shelf - but they only stay there until the next fellow (or gal) takes the top slot. Don W0XE has got the W0AR and N0SS submission spreadsheets down to an exact science - perfect for guys who prefer to follow that manually. Of course a lot of logging programs make pulling the scores out easy as well. Compiling the entry takes minutes so do yours today. I compiled my N0SS and W0AR results out in about 20 minutes -- and that included trying to remember what I did last year. Submitting your results is definitely like doing the dishes - the mental hurdle is far more significant than the minimal work required! See you all at the Jan meeting! 73/jeff/ac0c From Jeff.Blaine at epak.com Thu Jan 12 01:11:01 2017 From: Jeff.Blaine at epak.com (Jeff Blaine) Date: Thu, 12 Jan 2017 06:11:01 +0000 Subject: [KCDXC] KCDXC N0SS & W0AR Scores Due Message-ID: Happy New Year club members! I would like to wrap this up by Sunday evening. ?So if you would all be so kind just send me an e-mail with your score or scores. ?If there are any questions the rules for both contests are on the website: www.kcdxclub.org? Showing condx on every band as terrible, yet somehow 100% perfect on 30M doesn?t make any sense. Showing 80/160 conditions as bad when K=1 or K=2 and EU is obviously loud on those bands is clearly wrong. The DST index is very good right now, as well as K. Conditions are well above average on low bands. >From what I can tell, it does some ionosphere sounding and looks at signals. It doesn?t average anything, it just throws numbers up based on the last ping, seemingly. Obviously, 160M is closed right now but that does not mean that band conditions are bad... 73, Drew K3PA -----Original Message----- From: KCDXC [mailto:kcdxc-bounces at mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Lee Ward Sent: Sunday, January 15, 2017 11:35 To: KCDXC at mailman.qth.net Subject: [KCDXC] Bandconditions Temporary location for Band Conditions. http://www.cleanairwithultraviolet.com/bandconditions/ Glad to see it back on. 73, Lee, K0LW -- Its not how many watts you have, its the SIZE of your watts that matter! -- Johnny Marshall, W0JM-SK _____________________________________________________________ KCDXC mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/kcdxc Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:KCDXC at mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html From n0ag at yahoo.com Thu Jan 26 11:46:58 2017 From: n0ag at yahoo.com (=?UTF-8?Q?Wm=2E_LAUX_=28N=C3=98AG=29?=) Date: Thu, 26 Jan 2017 16:46:58 +0000 (UTC) Subject: [KCDXC] =?utf-8?b?V8OYQVIgJiBOw5hTUyBFbnRyaWVzLg==?= References: <215542858.1395422.1485449218921.ref@mail.yahoo.com> Message-ID: <215542858.1395422.1485449218921@mail.yahoo.com> GM to All: I'd like to close out the Contests. ?Please send me your scores by 2400 Friday (Jan. 27, 2016) if you have fallen through the cracks and you are NOT on this list. 73, Tom...N?AG N?SSHigh PowerK0VXU ? ?K3PA ? ? ??AC0C ? ? ??W0MB ? ? ? ?K0AP ? ? ? ? ?W0SO ? ? ? ?N0YL ? ? ? ? ? ???Low PowerK0VBU ? ??KC0DEB ? ? ?NX0I ? ? ? ? ? ???QRPW7FB ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??W?ARHigh PowerK3PA ? ? ? ? ? ?K0VXU ? ? ? ? ?AC?C ? ? ? ? ? ?W?MB ? ? ? ? ??
