Obituary

Jeanne McAllister died on July 15, 2014 at her home. Memorial services will
be held at 3:00 p. m. Friday, July 18, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral
Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131. Memorial contributions may
be made to Powell Gardens, 1609 NW US Hwy. 50, Kingsville, MO 64061.

Jeanne was born December 4, 1926 in Hummelstown, PA. She grew up in
Harrisburg, PA area and attended Penn State University. She married M. J.
"Mac" McAllister in 1946 and moved to the Kansas City area. As an Amateur
Radio Operator (WØJJC) she was a member of QCWW Association. She has also
been a member of KC Young Matrons, Community Childrens Theatre Assoc. of
KC, The Women's Golf Assoc. of Blue Hills CC, Friends of Powell Gardens,
Friends of JOCO Library, and Friends of Art. Always with a smile and eager
to help, Jeanne insisted on the positives. A gracious lady.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mayo (WØCW), two sisters, her
daughter Sandra McAllister Engstrom, and son Mayo James (Jim) McAllister,
Jr. Survivors include daughter-in-law Patricia McAllister; grandchildren
Francesca McAllister, Brandon Brennan, Mayo McAllister and Lee McAllister;
two great-grandsons; five step-grandchildren; as well as her dear friend
Don Allen.

We love and will miss her dearly.
