I heard Jeff very loud on 20 meters earlier and sent him a quick email. I

Thanks for the email. I am was very happy to get the call but very surprised
by how many DX stations I contact and they reply to me by saying, "Hi
Johnny!" I know that he was well known and loved in the DX community, both
home and abroad. I can only hope that I can live up to his reputation. I'm
also happy to hear that my using his call brings back good memories.

 

I am an avid DXer and am striving to live up to the call sign.
