[KCDXC] Packet Cluster?

A couple years ago I asked Steve about his packet station and he said he had to
give it up because of all the failures caused by lightning. We can ground the
antennas on our DX stations, but his packet station had to remain active. He
always worked hard after the big storms to get it back on the air but there
comes a time when that becomes not worth the effort with so few stations using
it. Before I retired we used it a lot with our company club station so I know
it was useful, but had to agree most use the Internet now. I can even get it on
my cell phone. I thank Steve for his many years of keeping that station on the
air, but now access his packet data from the Internet.

This is too bad. Back in 2006-2009 when I lived North of Lawrence out
in the sticks (with no internet) I used his 144.95 link a lot.
