Subject: RE: KCDXC May Meeting
Hey Mike;
Would you pass this along to the KCDXC email list, please?
The Dog Hollow Amateur Radio Federation (A.R.F.) will again do a Field Day operation in the Belton Memorial Park (right behind Quik-Trip in central Belton off of State Route 58). AK9D (A Canine Dog) and WG0TA (We Get On The Air) are our callsigns for Field Day. Even if you can't make it out to Belton, we hope to work you on the air during the contest!!!
We will be located in the area of the park immediately behind the large retirement complex. We have about 7 operators at this time, but really need some more experienced operators as we are wanting to make a serious run at the Top 10 in Class 3A this year. Anyone who would like to come out and participate is welcome whether it be for an hour or to hang out for the duration whether they're big guns or pop guns!!! We're looking for somebody with satellite experience to help us get those bonus points this year as well as the other various bonuses which, since we're going to have some additional participants coming in from Colorado we'll have more time to focus on those things this year!
We are looking for a couple of small tribanders and rotors. We have masting and potentially the ability to put up a short tower.
For more information or to mark up, please contact Jim (KU0G) or Phil (WV0T)!
