The Dog Hollow A.R.F. (amateur radio fraternity) gets together every June
for ARRL Field Day in Belton City Park.

Operating as AK9D (A Canine Dog) along with our Get-On-The-Air station,
WG0TA (We Get On The Air), Dog Hollow A.R.F. approaches Field Day as a fun
operation, a little laid back but serious at the same time.

For 2011 we want to make a serious run at the Top 10 in Class 3A. In order
to do that we need some additional operators with various skills and we
would like to invite the general ham community to come participate with us
this year!

We are looking for people with interest in these areas or who could assist
with appropriate equipment:

. VHF/UHF operation

. Satellite operations

. Antennas - we want to move up from running windoms on 10-15-20 to
a couple of small tribanders

. GOTA station - are you a generally inactive ham or willing to help
with this part of our operation?

. Publicity - we've got good contacts at KMBC but would like to have
someone with more media contacts

. Traffic handling - we have one traffic handler who is already our
phone captain so additional operators are needed

. Alternate Power - Looking for someone with solar cells or wind
power experience

. Educational Activity - Got a special skill you'd like to share?
We'd like to have several demonstrations or projects during the day and
evening Saturday

So, that's it! We don't expect you to be 100% with DHARF and are just fine
with people who like to visit and participate at other FD sites so if you
can come operate, give a clinic, share equipment, whatever it is; we would
welcome your participation!

Our first planning get-together (usually over dinner) will be later this
month!

Interested? Contact Phil Leonard, WV0T (wv0t at seidkr.com) or Jim Duncan, KU0G
(jdbandman at earthlink.net) and let us know what you'd like to do! With band
conditions steadily improving we expect Field Day 2011 to be a very exciting
on-air event this year!
