Hi Gang,

As you know I am here working the PJ7E DXpedition on the island of Sint (St)
Maartin. When we arrived as tropical storm Otto was bashing the island with
high winds and lots of rain. We landed between downpours but everything was
flooded.

Because of the high winds and rain the boat we hired to transport our
equipment took refuge in Barbados . Our equipment was due here and to be
delivered to us Wednesday afternoon Oct 6th. Well like lots of islands its
now Sunday and we do not have the equipment. We're promised Monday, that is
tomorrow, we will get our gear. We'll see.

Fortunately for us I brought my trusty DXpedition setup consisting of a
IC7000 and Tarheel screwdriver antenna and cables. So we are using it now
to work from the new country PJ7. There are six of us here at the CW site
and we are taking turns on the radio an hour at a time. I get to operate
every 6 hours for an hour. But we are very lucky to have anything to work
with. We are at 2000 plus QSOs and counting on CW

There are 5 new DXpeditions on all working from different parts of the
Netherlands Antilles. These potentially will all become new DXCC's so its
your chance to work 5 new countries. Have fun.

We will have our meeting this month when I get back and I will give you all
a firsthand presentation of our adventure. So set your calendars for
Thursday the 28th at Kelsey's in the back room.

See you in the pileups.

PS I have personally worked K0LW, W4NL, W4TO, W6UB, N3CZ, NW6S and few
others I can't remember. Call us!
